MMSC25 and PURPLE

Butterflies and purple may not say Halloween but I finished this card up this morning!! I used this week's sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (#25) and the Purple color challenge for Paper Popsicles. The image is actually a spray painted butterfly sticker created by an artist who calls herself No ID. I think her work is beautiful and, for the most part, girly! Just right for the purple card I created. The paper is Creative Memories. I colored my silver metal accents with my purple copic to match the card. The ribbon is the one and only purple ribbon in my stash!!! Let me know if you like it!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle- Anything But a Card

Happy Halloween everyone! Today my little one will become Hannah Montannah and bring home lots of candy!

This week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle is to create anything but a card. How easy is that! Here's your chance to do something on your to-do list and link it up for a chance to win 3 files of your choice from the CUTTING CAFE. I was so thrilled to learn that CC was our sponsor this week. I just love Regina's stuff! So much fun!

For the challenge this week I created these little gift boxes, using Angie Kennedy's tutorial for blessing boxes as my inspiration. The papers I used are from Pebbles Inc. and the Paper Studio. I added ribbon and bling from my stash. The Happy Halloween tags came from the Cutting Cafe. Aren't they just the right touch? My DD took these little boxes to school for her teachers. I hope they enjoyed it. I hope you do too. Check out what the other DT members came up. I hope you are inspired to create something and share with us!!!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 12

This week's challenge for Stamp, Scrap & Doodle is a sketch challenge! I just love sketches ~ they are such a great jumping off point. Check out the sketch:

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Michelle of Michelle's Scrapbooking & More. She has just released this adorable Pixie Cottage Line and we DT member were thrilled to play with these great stamps. Here's what I came up with for the sketch.

But, I loved this little girl too much to stop there. Here's another I created using sketch SSS26 from The Sweet Stop. Isn't she just the cutest?

This week you're playing for two free images from Michelle!!! So get creating and get linky! Have a great week!

Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle Week 11

Good Morning! I am so excited this morning because, well, first, it has stopped raining!!! Second, FALL has made an appearance in Alabama! It is nice and cool outside AND the sun is up AND I can see it!!!! With this wonderful weather comes a perfect inspiration photo for you at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle this week. The challenge is to create ANYTHING inspired by this picture:

This week our Guest Designer is also our sponsor!! How exciting is that! Sue McMahon of McMahon Five Designs is joining us this week and she is offering up free digis for the random winner this week! Here's what I came up with using one of Sue's digis.

I used Creative Memories paper and colored the image with Copics. I had silver brads and those just wouldn't work. So, I colored my silver brads with my brown copic marker and got these lovely brass colored brads!

Come on over and play with us at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle this week! We're excited to see what you create! And remember, you don't have to be a card maker! You can create anything your heart desires that is inpired by the photo above! Have fun!

Two In One

This card was created for two different challenges in mind. First, the color fits this weeks monochromatic challenge at the Cuttlebug Spot. I am so into the fall colors right now and what other color says fall like orange! Secondly, I used this week's sketch from MojoMonday (#108). The cardstock is from my stash and the patterned paper is CM. TFL!

And sweet Oliver

Did you get Oliver?!? He was offered as a freebie last Friday on the Paper Popsicles Blog. He is such a cutie! Here's a card I created with this little guy. BTW, Paper Popsicles has a freebie every Friday for the month of October. But, you have to get it on Friday or it will be gone! I am submitting this card for the Monday Madness Show N Tell on the blog.

3X3 Cards and Box

World Card Making Day came and went at my house with no scrappy time. However, through all of the inspiration of my wonderful cyber scrapping sisters I found so many awesome ideas to try! One of those ideas came from Lynda at Paper Popsicles. On the message board she gave us directions to make this cute little box filled with 8 3x3 cards. It is such a cute project and it was really easy to put together. Of course, scrap-copying made it that much easier. It was just too cute not to replicate (especially since I had the same kit)!!!

Hang on! Catch Up Posting in Progress

Okay, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I am so excited that I got some scrapping done this weekend. First, I want to share with you my interpretation of Sketch #40 from 52 Sketches. I just love this photo of my DD and her aunt playing in the clothes. Makes me smile everytime! The paper is all from my stash of CM!

CPS 136

It's late but it is done! I whipped this one out for CPS 136 in the last 30 mins or so. Of course I had colored my Dustin Pike image earlier today (but that doesn't count). I am loving this fall paper kit that I got from the Paper Studio (HL)! TFL!

Paper Popsicles Blog Stomp

Paper Popsicles is having a Creepy, Crawly Blog Stomp today! So much ghoolish fun, not many tricks but a lot of treats! Check it out!

Week 9 - Stamp, Scrap & Doodle

We've cooked up a recipe this week at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle and the DT rocked out some beautiful examples! Here's the recipe:

4x7 card

5 flowers (or other embellishment)

glitter

wet embossing

3 different patterned papers

Here's what I came up with. I recently recieved this ghoolish paper pack from Creative Memories (with a free punch!!!). I cut the background paper to match the dimensions of the card, trying to maintain the tree. Then, I outlined the tree with an embossing pen (ZIG) and used clear embossing powder. The ghosties came from that free punch! First I used holigraphic embossing powder (that's my glitter :o) and covered a small piece of cardstock. Then I punched out these cuties and gave them some eyes with a black pen ~ easy peasy! The image is from Dustin Pike. I colored these little guys with copics, cut them out and stuck 'em on. I used a Studio G stamp for the sentiment (thanks Boni!!). I really love how it turned out! Please let me know what you think!

So, come on, and cook with us! Link us up to your creation by 10pm Friday, Oct. 16th for a chance to win 2 Dustin Pike images of your choice!!!! Remember, you can submit any kind of project ~ a card, a layout, an altered item, anything your heart desires! Go get cooking!

Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle Spooky Challenge - Week 9

It is officially October!!! Like me, many of you have already been creating cute Halloween projects. Well, now you can officially celebrate! 28 days till Halloween!!!

This week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle is anything Halloween. The Design Team did an awesome job with this challenge...lots of variety.

This week I didn't create a card, but rather a decoration! I recieved the latest Oriental Trading (yep, you know the one) with all the newest Halloween and Fall craft projects. I found the cutest project of a Door Hanger Craft Kit. Well, I just knew it would be easy to create this cutie with my stash of scrappy goodies. I used a pumpkin template that I got from Paper Popsicles and I covered 4 of them with paper from Pebbles, Inc. (thanks to Cheryl at Stamp-By-Step). I hand drew the leaves and gave them a little texture with my cuttlebug. I used chipboard letters covered with the same Pebbles, Inc. collection backed with purple cardstock. I added a jack-o-lantern, a bat, some ribbon and wha-la! I am so pleased with how it turned out. It is now hanging on the wall in my family room....a cute addition to my Halloween decorations!
