One Day Soon
One day soon..... I will be able to scrap again!!! We have been in the middle of a remodel that required the near packing up of all of the bedrooms in our house. When I packed up my scrappy stuff, I made a little bag to keep in the kitchen with what I thought would keep me happy until I could set up my desk again. It just hasn't worked out. Every time I sit down and try to create something I get so frustrated because that one little thing that I "need" is all packed up. So...I haven't done anything!!! Oh, please let this end soon! I need to scrap!!!!

Welcome to your next step along the way on Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle's first ever, LOVE IS IN THE AIR Blog Hop! I am so happy that you've made it this far and you are almost done!
If you came to me from Shana's blog then you are on the right track! If not, head over to the SSDS Challenge blog to start from the beginning so you don't miss all the wonderful cards and RAKs along the way! The DT members have all created a card using a sketch from the super talented Carlie! For my card, I used this image from Bee Crafty that I got awhile back. I love the little birds! I colored the image with copics and chalked around the edge of the oval before layering it to the blue paper. The paper is all MME. I just love MME!!!
There are 3 Main Prizes and a few RAK's along the hop so be sure and comment on each blog to be eligible for all the prizes! You can see a list of all the prizes and how to win them at the SSDS Challenge Blog! Don't forget to head back to the SSDS challenge blog to let us know that you completed the hop! Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week #26
This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle we are feeling the LOVE....but not for RED. Our challenge this week is to create a Valentine's project without using red! The Design Team has come up with some adorable creations to inspire you to get that loving feeling without the red. We have a fabulous sponsor, Michelle Perkett Studios! The winner will recieve two adorable images AND 6 greeting cards!!!
I am a huge fan of Creative Memories and am even considering becoming a Consultant. The project center they have over there is just so inspiring and their products are awesome. I used their "Be My Valentine Featured Project" to design these cute little cards. I, of course, altered the designs to not use red. Instead I used some black and white design paper from M&MBI and purple cardstock. I used my Cuttlebug to cut the heart shapes and added some ribbon and stamping to finish it off. I think they are really cute and I have several more to make.

Better Late Than Never - Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week #23
ARGH! I created my card, got it turned in to the DT, set up my blog entry to post on Saturday...well at least I thought I had. I had saved the post but I guess I forgot to set the time to post! Saturday I spent a glorious day with my mother at a Prayer Retreat. Sunday was spent cleaning up around the house and getting laundry done. It wasn't until this morning that I realized that my post DID NOT POST! So, sorry about that.....here ya go!
Welcome to Week #23 at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle! We were so thrilled to see so many of you join us last week for our Celebration Challenge! It really makes our hearts smile to see your wonderful creations! We have another great challenge for you this week! Anything girly! For those of you with little girls this will be super easy and for those of you who only have boys it may be a little more challenging but oh, so fun!!! The DT got to use another SweetPea image for our creations and I just love these stamps! They are perfect for something girly! I decided to created a purse shaped card. I began by coloring my stamped image with copic markers and then going through my scraps to find the perfect DP for the image. The paper is all MME. I added some ribbon and flowers and ta-da....a perfectly girly card!

Come on over to check out what the other DT members created and get inspired! Don't you just love these SweetPea stamps? Create something girly, link it up and you may win a sheet of 4 rubber stamps!!!!

Happy New Year - Stamp Scrap & Doodle Week 21
We are back at it over at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle for our first challenge in 2010! This week we challenge you to use a photo on a card or other project. When I was working on this challenge, I just knew I wanted to use this cute little snowman picture that we took last year during one of maybe two snows of the season. Yep, we don't get a lot of snow down here in Alabama, but when we do, you know we get out and play in it. We rarely have enough snow to build a respectable snowman....and this was no exception! We built our snowman (if you want to call it that) on the back of the car! I used some MM paper for the background and added ribbons and snowflakes to the edge of my photo. I used this weeks Midnight Madness sketch from Precillastyles!

So come on over and play with us in 2010 at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle! We can't wait to see what you create!

December Birthdays
We have a several December birthdays in my family including my brother's and mine. To everyone out there who has a birthday between the week of Thanksgiving and New Years, I know you understand when I say "It just isn't fair!" We December babies never get the kind of birthdays that, say, June babies get. I, having a birthday just days before Christmas, have gotten used to Christmas presents that are also birthday presents. My brother, whose birthday was yesterday (New Years Eve), has it a little easier. At least everyone is up for a party on his birthday! So, if you have a December birthday, this is a special Happy Birthday to you!!!
I created this card (for my brother) using this weeks Mojo Monday (#119) sketch. I got to use some yummy MME paper and some new nesties.

Whew! Is it over? Really?!?!
Can you believe that Christmas came and went so fast? We had such a fantastic Christmas here with Trinity getting everything she asked Santa for....even the thing that Mommy wasn't too sure about. Makes me think of "The Christmas Story" and "you'll shoot your eye out." I scored some fantabulous scrappy goodies this year including my new SLICE (thanks Mom!). I seriously felt like a 10 year old when I opened the package! I wanted to take a picture of all the scrappy spoils I received but got ahead of myself when I started putting them all away. Let's just say I could have covered the kitchen table!! I trully am spoiled....and I LOVE it!
Now, I haven't had much time to create with all the Christmas hoopla until now. I couldn't wait to sit down and do something. When I saw this weeks sketch at the Sweet Stop (SSS#36) I just new it was the jumping off point I needed. I found this cute image at Squigglefly and colored it with copics. I used some scraps from my stash to create the layers and my Slice to create the circle (you know I had to use it). Here's how it turned out! The picture is a tad blurry but you can get the idea!
