Season's Greetings

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I am having so much fun creating Christmas cards to send to my friends and family this year.  I wanted to do it last year, but...I ran out of time.  This year I am definitely going to make it!!!

Here's a quick little card I put together using my Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder.  I colored the birds and berries with a red copic marker and then added Glossy Accents to make 'em shine.  Then I used chalk to highlight the swirls in green.  The sentiment is a Studio G stamp that I heat embossed.  Pretty simple but I think it looks great!

This card is being entered in this week's challenges at the cuttlebug spot.  The challenge is to create a holiday card using your favorite embossing technique.
I am also entering this card into this week's challenge at the Play Date Cafe.  Here's this week's inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh what a clever idea! From the thumbnail it looked like DP, I love how you've coloured and embossed the little birds. Thanks for playing along in the cafe with us this week :)

  2. This is lovely! I especially love the way you've coloured the embossed areas, very effective! Thanks for playing along with us at the Play Date Cafe this week!

  3. I love how you made your own DP--this is a super cute embossed look! Thanks so much for joining in the fun and for playing along with us over at the PDCC:}

  4. Thanks for stopping by Rene and for your lovely comments. Stopped over to check out your blog and I just LOVE this card. The simplicity of it is fabulous but it is so striking with the red birds and sentiment. Great Christmas card. hugs xxoo
