Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday

***** See Blog Candy Post HERE!!!******

Happy Saturday everyone!  It is technically fall here in Alabama....says the calendar!  The temp outside begs to differ! I am really ready for some cooler weather and the beautiful color of changing leaves!!  Wherever you are...I hope it feels like fall.

This week at Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle the challenge is stitching....faux or real!  I love to incorporate stitching on my layouts and cards!  Here's what I created...

I received this image in an image swap, and I don't know the creator.  If you know the creator, please let me know so that I may give credit where credit is due.   I colored the image with copic markers and am pretty happy with how it turned out. The pretty Halloween paper also came from a RAK..but I think that it is from Target's dollar spot.  It is super cute!
Add some stitching to your creations and link up to us at SSDS.  Our sponsor this week is Paper Cupcakes and they are offering two free digis to the winner!
Other challenges:
Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #72 - Sketch
Charisma - Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes Challenge #36 - Halloween colors
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes
Baby Bud Designs Challenge - Fall/Halloween

Creative Scrappers Sketch #122

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I found some crafty time this evening and created this LO for the Creative Scrappers Sketch #122 challenge.  I pulled out just the picture part since this LO is for an 8X8 album.  I've hidden my journaling behind the photo mat!  The paper is MME and CM.  The flowers are fromPrima.  I cut the swirly doodle with my Slice (I just love this thing!)!  This LO is for my Faithbook....as have the last 2 LO's been.  Thanks for looking!

Fall Colors and a Sweet Sketch

Happy Monday! I know, I know....but we ARE one day closer to Friday!! Today I played around with two challenges together; Pollycraft and The Sweet Stop. The Pollycraft challenge was to use fall colors, and even though mine aren't the very typical fall colors, I think it definitely has a fall feel. I used this week's Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS73)! The image is Felicity Swing from Pollycraft. She is too cute! Let me know what you think!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday Challenge and DT CALL

Happy Saturday! First, we are excited to announce our DT CALL at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle. Please check out the details HERE. We hope you give it a try!!!

This week's challenge is a Thank You project. Our fearless leader, Regina, is offering up this great prize for the winner!

I created my card with inspiration from one of Angie Kennedy's wonderful videos on You Tube! She is awesome and I get so inspired by videos! All I used was a little cardstock from my stash, a rub-on from Kaiser, a piece of ribbon, and bling from Glitz! I cut the scallop circle using my Slice and then punched the circle out of the middle. I used the rub-on on that circle and popped it up using dimensionals on the inside of the card. Super easy! I embossed the background cardstock with my cuttlebug. Simple and clean! I really like it!

So, come on over and join us at SSDS! We can't wait to see what you create!

Twisted Sketch #065 and a Secret?

I've got a secret and I'm not going to tell.....yet!!! This layout is the beginning of my secret!!! I used Sketch #065 from Twisted Sketches. The twist was to use metal anyway, anyhow. I added a little metal word (faith) and I think that the brads should count too!!! The paper is Creative Memories and the letters are Thickers (of course!). I used a lot of chalk to add color to all the white. The little tag coming out of the top of the picture is hidden journaling. I would add it here but then I would be giving my secret away and well, you are just going to have to wait. I can tell you that there will be some blog candy involved and other exciting news! Please stay tuned. In the mean time check out my layout for Twisted Sketches!

P.S. I still don't have my beloved Photoshop so please forgive the quality of the photo! It makes me sad! :(

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone!!! We are getting ready for some college football here in Tuscaloosa, AL!! Our National Champs take the field at 6pm tonight. Needless to say our city will be full of crimson and white and all things BAMA! If you didn't see the card I created for the event, please scroll down to the previous post and let me know what you think.

On to this week's challenge at SSDS! This week, as the air gets a little cooler (even down here in BAMA) we are getting ready for the Christmas season a little early. I love Christmas challenges because they force me to get ahead on my Christmas crafting. If you're like me, you need to get ahead as much as possible!!! We want to see anything Christmas this week. We have a great sponsor, Wags n' Whiskers!!! Be sure to check out the Wags n' Whiskers store to see all the images. The winner will receive 4 digis of their choices.

For my card I used this beautiful poinsettia image from Beccy Muir! I colored two images using my copics and cut pieces of one and added them with dimensionals to add depth. Between the shading and the pop up feel of the flower, it is one of my favorite flowers that I've created. The patterned paper is a mystery since it came out of my scraps file (don't you love using up scraps). The rest is cardstock and ribbon. Easy peasy!

So, get the Christmas spirit and get creative. We'd love to see what you create at SSDS.

P.S. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

It's time for some Football!!!

We are geared up and ready for some Alabama football this Labor Day weekend. Our National Champions will be taking the field tomorrow night at 6:00. All I can say is ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

In recognition of this southern tradition, I decided to make a card to go along....
