Slide!

Woohoo! I finally got a slide going of all the pages that I have scanned into my computer....well almost all of them. I hope to get all of my DD's first year pages put together into a slide show of their own. Anyway, it's over there <------- on the left side of the blog. I was proud of myself and thought I would share!!!!

Window

This is my take on Julie's sketch #16 at 52 sketches. Her sketches really inspire me to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. To create the background shape, I hand drew a bracket and then rotated it around the patterned paper to get the shape. I traced the shape on a piece of thin chipboard before cutting so I now have a stencil!!! All the paper is from a Colorbok pad except for the vellum which is from Brother Sister. Except for the hint of vellum tape under my vellum, I'm happy with the way it turned out! TFL!

Whew! I finally finished this LO for this weeks 52 Sketches sketch #15. It took me all week to put together! I can usually whip a LO out in a few hours but this one was a doozy! First, the picture was so precious that I knew there wasn't much I could do to enhance it....it's already perfect! Second, the ideas I had in my head just weren't coming out in paper as quickly as they usually do. I guess my mojo was also on spring break! Anyway, when I got down to business it took a lot of cutting to get those flowers just right. I can not tell you how many peices of flower I have left over in my stash now. After all of that, it came together nicely I think. The colors were just perfect for this photo...even if they are even more muted in the photo. All the paper and stickers is and old stash of Creative Memories. TFL!

I created this card for the Paper Popsicles' April contest. I used a sketch by Di Hickman and the Perfect Harmony Kit from Paper Popsicles. I think it turned out pretty well. I love the patterned paper in the Harmony kit so it wasn't hard to use them! Enjoy!

From Ugly to Pretty

So who says you can't make everything pretty? I used this old can of my DH's to create a little container for some of my scrap stuff. I covered the outside of the container with flocked paper and added paper to the inside as well ~ added a flower and a button and viola! Ugly to pretty!

I created this page using sketch #13 from 52 sketches. I used some old creative memories papers and stickers. This page is for Trinity's 2nd year album. I know, I know....she's six and I'm working on her 2nd year! Well, at least I'm scrappin' them now rather than never! Enjoy!

A little older stuff....

One of the main reasons that I created this blog was to be able to share my scrapbook creations. Many of the online communities that I am a member of have restrictions in terms of the layouts that can be posted. The layouts either have to be using their products or their sketch design, etc. So, here are a few of my favorite pages from 2008. Oddly enough, the majority of them were created last spring. I guess I just get all scrappy in the spring. Enjoy!
