We have a several December birthdays in my family including my brother's and mine. To everyone out there who has a birthday between the week of Thanksgiving and New Years, I know you understand when I say "It just isn't fair!" We December babies never get the kind of birthdays that, say, June babies get. I, having a birthday just days before Christmas, have gotten used to Christmas presents that are also birthday presents. My brother, whose birthday was yesterday (New Years Eve), has it a little easier. At least everyone is up for a party on his birthday! So, if you have a December birthday, this is a special Happy Birthday to you!!!
I created this card (for my brother) using this weeks Mojo Monday (#119) sketch. I got to use some yummy MME paper and some new nesties.

Whew! Is it over? Really?!?!
Can you believe that Christmas came and went so fast? We had such a fantastic Christmas here with Trinity getting everything she asked Santa for....even the thing that Mommy wasn't too sure about. Makes me think of "The Christmas Story" and "you'll shoot your eye out." I scored some fantabulous scrappy goodies this year including my new SLICE (thanks Mom!). I seriously felt like a 10 year old when I opened the package! I wanted to take a picture of all the scrappy spoils I received but got ahead of myself when I started putting them all away. Let's just say I could have covered the kitchen table!! I trully am spoiled....and I LOVE it!
Now, I haven't had much time to create with all the Christmas hoopla until now. I couldn't wait to sit down and do something. When I saw this weeks sketch at the Sweet Stop (SSS#36) I just new it was the jumping off point I needed. I found this cute image at Squigglefly and colored it with copics. I used some scraps from my stash to create the layers and my Slice to create the circle (you know I had to use it). Here's how it turned out! The picture is a tad blurry but you can get the idea!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 20
Happy Saturday everyone! Can you believe that by this time next week Christmas will be over? Well, the day anyway, because if you are like me.....the weekend will be filled with Christmas activities too! I cannot believe that we are 6 days away! We are still not ready here...but we are getting there.
This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle we have a sketch challenge for you.
This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle we have a sketch challenge for you.
I really enjoyed creating with this sketch! I began with the poinsettia image from Beccy Muir. I colored the image with copic markers and cut the circle using my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System. I used Making Memories Tinsle paper for the layers and cut another red circle. I used three brads from American Crafts. Finally I stamped the sentiment with a Studio G stamp (Thanks Diane!). I am really happy with how this card turned out.
This will be our last challenge for the year at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle BUT we will be back on January 2nd to start 2010 out with a great challenge. So, you have two weeks to create something using this sketch and get it linked up for a chance to win a paper pack from the PaperTemptress!
Until then, I wish you all
Merry Always
and
Happy Everything!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 19 - Don't be SQUARE
Okay, its 13 more days until Christmas!!! Are you ready? Are the gifts bought and wrapped? Are the little ones ready for Santa? At my house, we are not even close to being ready....ah, but it IS the most wonderful time of the year!!!
This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle the challenge is to create anything that isn't square...or rectangle. Shaped cards, mini books, whatever! I decided to create a Christmas tree shaped card. I found a cute clip-art image in MS Word and printed it out. I used it as a guide for the shape of my card. I covered the cardstock with green patterned paper (Creative Memories) and embellished with fiber and buttons. I added Glossy Accents to the star to give it some dimension. I think it turned out really cute. Now I gotta find an envelope that it will fit in!
We'd love to see what you can create! Come on over to Stamp, Scrap & Doodle and link up your creation by Friday night and get in on the chance for free Victoria Case images! Until then, enjoy the season!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 18
WOW! WOW! WOW! We were so amazed at all the creations we saw linked up for last weeks challenge at Stamp, Scrap and, Doodle! Thanks so much for checking us out and playing along!
This weeks challenge is a color challenge. Here's the inspiration:
I definitely needed to create a Christmas card (yes, I am still working on Christmas cards to send out to family and friends!) so I was intrigued by using these fun colors on a Christmas card. I found some great ribbon at the dollor spot at Target (gotta love it) and was so excited to see these colors on it with snowflakes. So I pulled out one of my Fresh Brewed Designs images and used my copics to color them with the same colors; pink, purple, and green. I added blue to tie it all together. I created my own patterned paper with a snowflake stamp (thanks Diane) and glitter embossing powder. I added paper piercing to each of the layers for a little added touch. Here's the result!
I hope you find some time to scrap during this crazy busy holiday season. If you do, come and play with us at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle!
