Catching Up - Part 1

Having computer issues is so terribly frustrating!!! However, I am managing to make it work....inconvenient as it may be. Oh, the things we do for that which we love (in this case, scrappin'!!!)
So, in order to get caught up (for today anyway), I am making three posts tonight. If you are able to view all of them thank you for doing so!! It is much appreciated.

Better late than never!!! This week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturday is to create a "Get Well" or "Good Luck" project. This week we have Digi Doodle Shop as our wonderful sponsor. Be sure to stop by Digi Doodle to see all of their fabulous images. The winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to Digi Doodle Shop! They also offered all of the design team images to play with so we want to send a BIG Thank You to them!!!

I decided to create a Get Well Soon cards with this adorable blueberries image from Digi Doodle Shop. I really enjoyed trying out some shading techniques with my Copics...even if it didn't turn out perfect! I used blue and white cardstock for this card. I embossed the white cardstock with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder (my fave!). I added the ribbon and used a Kaiser rub on for the sentiment. I love the way it turned out!

You have until Friday at midnight to get your "Get Well" or "Good Luck" project in. Don't forget that Digi Doodle Shop is giving away $10 to the random winner!!!

Meljen's Challenge #21 - Brown, Teal and Orange

Happy Thursday everyone! I am sooo frustrated with my computer issues!!! A couple of weeks ago my desktop decided to die. Thankfully, I had been a good girl and backed up all of my pictures and scrappy goods onto the external hard drive regularly. But, we are unable to get it fixed for a while so I am using our trusty standby....the laptop. The laptop is great....I can still get online... I just can't upload photos, scan photos, print photos, or anything else except look at photos. I have to take my camera to my mother's and upload the photos! No fun....well, at least she only lives across the street!!LOL!
Okay, so sorry to vent! On to my card ~ I finished this card several days ago. When I saw the challenge come up at Meljen's, I had just the perfect Pebbles, Inc. paper in mind! I was so excited to get this paper out...I haven't used it since last year! I printed (at my mom's house) this cute cup fellow (also Meljen's) and colored him with Copics. I used this week's SFYTT sketch! I added a couple of flowers, rhinestones and a rub on from Kaiser. I think it turned out really cute. Thanks for looking!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone! Getting used to being back at school has really affected my scrappy time, but I hope to change that this weekend! I plan on getting at least a couple of scrappy things done! The first on the list is this weeks card for SSDS. The challenge this week is to use Kraft. I really haven't created that much with kraft so this was a fun challenge for me!!

I started by printing this beautiful bride digi from Sassy Studio Designs (Our awesome sponsor this week!) I colored her with copics and cut her out with my CM cutting system. I inked the edges with brown ink then with chalk. For my paper I used kraft and light green cardstock with a velum overlay. I used my most fave border punch and stuck it all together. The sentiment is Studio G. The picture is terrible, I know. I'm dealing with computer issues and having to use my laptop which doesn't have my fab photoshop!

This week we have the fabulous Sassy Studio Designs as our sponsor. I love the Sassy images. Be sure to stop by the Sassy Studio to see all the fun images they have. The winner will get 4 digis of their choice from Sassy Studio Designs.

Don't forget to stop by and see what the other DT members created! We'd love to see what you can do with kraft!!!

Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle Saturday!

Happy Saturday everyone! It sure is busy around here getting ready for school to start. We start back on Tuesday. I've been at school all last week getting my classroom ready. I can officially say that I am PHYSICALLY ready for kiddos!

Now on to this weeks challenge at SSDS...this week we want to see you create something with only sentiments...no images. Super easy. Before I show you my card I have to tell you how mad I am at myself! This card was actually created with the scraps of a larger project. I purchased my planner book at Target and it had a opening in the front cover for you to insert pictures or customize. Well, I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch (#150) to create a little cover to go in my planner. I then used my scraps to create a smaller card using the same sketch. Unfortunately, my planner is at school sitting on my desk....and I haven't taken a picture of it yet! I promise I will get a picture of it posted very soon! But, on to my card. All the patterned paper is from a very old collection of Colorbox stuff that I had (I am trying to use up what I have before I buy more!). I used my MMSlice to cut the sentiment and added a few rhinestones. Here it is!

Come on over and join us this week at SSDS!

Challenges:
SSDS - sentiments only
MojoMonday - #150 sketch
