Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle Saturday!

Happy Saturday everyone! It sure is busy around here getting ready for school to start. We start back on Tuesday. I've been at school all last week getting my classroom ready. I can officially say that I am PHYSICALLY ready for kiddos!

Now on to this weeks challenge at SSDS...this week we want to see you create something with only sentiments...no images. Super easy. Before I show you my card I have to tell you how mad I am at myself! This card was actually created with the scraps of a larger project. I purchased my planner book at Target and it had a opening in the front cover for you to insert pictures or customize. Well, I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch (#150) to create a little cover to go in my planner. I then used my scraps to create a smaller card using the same sketch. Unfortunately, my planner is at school sitting on my desk....and I haven't taken a picture of it yet! I promise I will get a picture of it posted very soon! But, on to my card. All the patterned paper is from a very old collection of Colorbox stuff that I had (I am trying to use up what I have before I buy more!). I used my MMSlice to cut the sentiment and added a few rhinestones. Here it is!

Come on over and join us this week at SSDS!

Challenges:
SSDS - sentiments only

Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone! Can you believe this is the last day of July? I cannot believe how fast this summer flew by. I go back to work next week so its very bitter sweet for me :( ! How about another challenge to get you creative this week? The challenge this week at SSDS is Clean And Simple. These are often a real challenge for me to do, but I love how quickly they come together!

We have a fabulous sponsor this week, Craft Brulee. They have some fun stamps, ribbons and flowers plus other goodies. Be sure to check the Craft Brulee store to see all the great products.

Here is the yummy prize pack that is up for offer this week from Craft Brulee!

So, here is what I created for this weeks challenge. I stamped the background and the sentiment using momento black. I added a black ribbon, and popped the sentiment up with dimensionals. I think it took me all of five minutes to put this together and it is now one of my all time faves!

We hope to see your CAS creations this week at SSDS!

My Demons - AAM Challenge #22

So this week I decided to participate in the All About Me Challenges! I've been eyeing them for some time and have been so inspired by the challenges and DT reveals. When this weeks challenge came out...I was almost forced from somewhere deep within to do this challenge. I am so glad that I did. I created my layout based on my demons....which for me are all my many, many insecurities. The paper used is all from MME except for the cardstock. I used this week's sketch from Creative Scrappers (CS#114). The paper used is all from MME except for a little navy cardstock. I used Ranger Distress Ink in Faded Jeans to create the background paint and all the distressing. This layout is VERY different from my typical layout but I LOVE how it turned out. It has a lot of imperfections....but it is a layout about being insecure....so I left them just the way they were. Thanks AAM for the inspiration. I hope to participate more often!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone! It's time for another SSDS challenge....this week we want to see all those digi's you've been collecting. We L-O-V-E digi's and we are so happy to have Meljen's Designs as our sponsor again this week. Meljen's has the cutest, I mean the most adorable digi's. The winner this week will get 4 free digis from Meljen's!!!

For my card this week, I wanted to make a circle easel card. I used this adorable baby on a cloud image from Meljen's Designs. I used watercolor pencils to color it in....my first try at using my color pencils on digi's!!! I added some tini-tiny rhinestones around the baby. The patterned paper is from Daisy Bucket Designs. I used my circle punch to create the scalloped edge of the largest circle and I hand stitched the black zig zag. The sentiment is a sticker from Creative Memories. Please let me know what you think!

Challenges:

SSDS - Use a digi.

OOC Sketch Blog - Circle Sketch

Charisma Cardz - Anything but Square

Summer Fun Mini Book

Do you subscribe to people's channels on Youtube? I have a couple of scrappy channels that I subscribe to on there and I just love watching a tutorial video to get my mojo going. I'm subscribed to Hero Arts (among others) and as soon as they posted this mini vacation book by Shari Carroll I knew I wanted to make one. It is made from standard sized note cards!! How easy is that?!? So I watched the video about a thousand times before I finally got down to creating my own. Here it is....
I used plain white cardstock note cards, paper from We R Memory Keepers and Making Memories, colored cardstock, ribbon, buttons, my Slice, cuttlebug embossing folders, and a couple of tags from a summer swap I did last year.
Let me know what you think!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I can not believe how fast the summer is flying by. We go back to school here in less than a month!!! Seems like we just got out! Hope you are enjoying yours!

The challenge this week at SSDS is a super easy one and one that I know you can get done in a jiffy. This week we want to see animals on your creations!

This week we have the fabulous Meljen's Designs as our sponsor! If you haven't seen her images you are missing out! Be sure to stop by the Whimsy Stamps store to see Meljen's Designs adorable images!

Here's my card! I used this adorable turtle image from Meljen's Designs and colored it with copic markers. I cut it out and used a pop-up for the butterfly! The patterned paper is BG Mellow, layered with cream, green, and orange cardstock. I added two skinny ribbons and a bow. The title was created with letter stickers from Creative Memories and outlined with a brown pen. Easy!

Come play with us this week at SSDS! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
