December Birthdays

We have a several December birthdays in my family including my brother's and mine. To everyone out there who has a birthday between the week of Thanksgiving and New Years, I know you understand when I say "It just isn't fair!" We December babies never get the kind of birthdays that, say, June babies get. I, having a birthday just days before Christmas, have gotten used to Christmas presents that are also birthday presents. My brother, whose birthday was yesterday (New Years Eve), has it a little easier. At least everyone is up for a party on his birthday! So, if you have a December birthday, this is a special Happy Birthday to you!!!

I created this card (for my brother) using this weeks Mojo Monday (#119) sketch. I got to use some yummy MME paper and some new nesties.

Whew! Is it over? Really?!?!

Can you believe that Christmas came and went so fast? We had such a fantastic Christmas here with Trinity getting everything she asked Santa for....even the thing that Mommy wasn't too sure about. Makes me think of "The Christmas Story" and "you'll shoot your eye out." I scored some fantabulous scrappy goodies this year including my new SLICE (thanks Mom!). I seriously felt like a 10 year old when I opened the package! I wanted to take a picture of all the scrappy spoils I received but got ahead of myself when I started putting them all away. Let's just say I could have covered the kitchen table!! I trully am spoiled....and I LOVE it!

Now, I haven't had much time to create with all the Christmas hoopla until now. I couldn't wait to sit down and do something. When I saw this weeks sketch at the Sweet Stop (SSS#36) I just new it was the jumping off point I needed. I found this cute image at Squigglefly and colored it with copics. I used some scraps from my stash to create the layers and my Slice to create the circle (you know I had to use it). Here's how it turned out! The picture is a tad blurry but you can get the idea!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 20

Happy Saturday everyone! Can you believe that by this time next week Christmas will be over? Well, the day anyway, because if you are like me.....the weekend will be filled with Christmas activities too! I cannot believe that we are 6 days away! We are still not ready here...but we are getting there.

This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle we have a sketch challenge for you.

I really enjoyed creating with this sketch! I began with the poinsettia image from Beccy Muir. I colored the image with copic markers and cut the circle using my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System. I used Making Memories Tinsle paper for the layers and cut another red circle. I used three brads from American Crafts. Finally I stamped the sentiment with a Studio G stamp (Thanks Diane!). I am really happy with how this card turned out.

This will be our last challenge for the year at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle BUT we will be back on January 2nd to start 2010 out with a great challenge. So, you have two weeks to create something using this sketch and get it linked up for a chance to win a paper pack from the PaperTemptress!

Until then, I wish you all

Merry Always
and
Happy Everything!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 19 - Don't be SQUARE

Okay, its 13 more days until Christmas!!! Are you ready? Are the gifts bought and wrapped? Are the little ones ready for Santa? At my house, we are not even close to being ready....ah, but it IS the most wonderful time of the year!!!

This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle the challenge is to create anything that isn't square...or rectangle. Shaped cards, mini books, whatever! I decided to create a Christmas tree shaped card. I found a cute clip-art image in MS Word and printed it out. I used it as a guide for the shape of my card. I covered the cardstock with green patterned paper (Creative Memories) and embellished with fiber and buttons. I added Glossy Accents to the star to give it some dimension. I think it turned out really cute. Now I gotta find an envelope that it will fit in!

We'd love to see what you can create! Come on over to Stamp, Scrap & Doodle and link up your creation by Friday night and get in on the chance for free Victoria Case images! Until then, enjoy the season!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 18

WOW! WOW! WOW! We were so amazed at all the creations we saw linked up for last weeks challenge at Stamp, Scrap and, Doodle! Thanks so much for checking us out and playing along!

This weeks challenge is a color challenge. Here's the inspiration:

I definitely needed to create a Christmas card (yes, I am still working on Christmas cards to send out to family and friends!) so I was intrigued by using these fun colors on a Christmas card. I found some great ribbon at the dollor spot at Target (gotta love it) and was so excited to see these colors on it with snowflakes. So I pulled out one of my Fresh Brewed Designs images and used my copics to color them with the same colors; pink, purple, and green. I added blue to tie it all together. I created my own patterned paper with a snowflake stamp (thanks Diane) and glitter embossing powder. I added paper piercing to each of the layers for a little added touch. Here's the result!

I hope you find some time to scrap during this crazy busy holiday season. If you do, come and play with us at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle!

{Supplies}
Fresh Brewed Designs Image: Snowbuddies
Coloring: Copic Markers
Paper: cardstock
Stamped background and sentiment: Studio G
Embossing Powder: Holographic by Ranger

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 17

I hope your tummy and your heart is full after Thanksgiving this year! We had a fabulous time with all four of us children together at mom's with all of our children! So many good times when we are all together. I am so grateful for a loving family. It is so fun to watch the little ones play with cousins the way we used to when we were the little ones! Good memories remembered and being made!

Anyway, now that the leftovers are in the fridge let's get geared up for Christmas. I tried really hard this year to not get to Christmas-y before Thanksgiving. BUT, Thanksgiving is officially over and it is finally the Christmas season. This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle the challenge is anything Christmas! A card, an altered item, a layout.....ANYTHING Christmas! Here's what I created.

The sweet little penguin image was a freebie that I got from PollyCraft. I just couldn't wait to get him on a card. He's colored with copic markers (man I just love these markers). The paper and sticker is from Creative Memories. I used a sketch from CPS to get me going. Let me know if you like him or not!!! AND, get creating and link up for a chance to win free files from The Cutting Cafe (Regina has some great Holiday files!!!).

November Guest Digital Image Designer at Paper Popsicles

I was so absolutely thrilled when Melissa contacted me to let me know that I had been chosen as the November Digital Image Guest Designer at Paper Popsicles! I cannot tell you how honored I feel to have this opportunity. I have been playing with my images and after being sick last week, finally have my projects ready to reveal. I hope that I have done the Cheeky Radish images justice. Let me know what you think and head on over to the Paper Popsicles store to get your hands on these wonderful images and other fun stuff too!!!

First up are two cards that I created for Thanksgiving.

Both cards were created using the same fall page kit from Paper Studios. I colored the Cheeky Radish images, Tom Turkey and Give Thanks, with copic markers.

Next up is a shaker box card I created with the Cheeky Radish Snow Globe image. Thanks to JenC for the tutorial on the Paper Popsicles Message Boards. I had a blast trying this and think it turned out ok for my first try.

A few weeks ago, Melissa offered up this little house card file as a Friday Freebie. I couldn't wait to use this Through the Window image with it. The paper is MME and I colored the image with copics. I added Stickles to give the snow some bling.

And finally, my favorite project of them all....a layout featuring the Cookie Platter image. I've been waiting to get these photos onto a layout and into an album. This image was just the push I needed to get it done. The paper used on this LO is from Creative Memories. The Cookie Platter image was colored using copics, cut out and pop-dotted on the page. I love how this page turned out! Please click on the image to see it larger!

I am so very thankful to Melissa for this opportunity to showcase the amazing Cheeky Radish images! Please check out the store....I know there are some great deals going on!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 16

I am so late getting this posted but I have been feeling really terrible this past week. I am finally starting to feel back to normal today. This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle, the challenge is to create a flower pot card. These cards are so cute and are really easy to make. Here is a link to a tutorial that shows how to create this great little card: Stephanie at Splitcoast.

Here's the card that I came up with. It didn't take me very long at all! The paper is Creative Memories with a touch of Glitter Foam Paint. The felt flowers are from Li'l Davis Designs. I created the centers of the flowers with a circle punch and epoxy stickers. Create one of these flower pot cards and link it up at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle for a chance at free Dustin Pike images!

The image I used from Fresh Brewed designs is called Snow Buddy on Ice. So cute and fun! I printed him out and colored him with copics. I added some sparkle with Stickles. The paper is MME Simply Delightful and Bazzil cardstock. A little bling and wha la! I think it turned out super cute!

Head on over to Stamp, Scrap & Doodle and join us for this week's challenge. We just love to see what everyone creates. Link up by 10pm est Friday for a chance to win $15 at Fresh Brewed Designs! Saweet!

MMSC25 and PURPLE

Butterflies and purple may not say Halloween but I finished this card up this morning!! I used this week's sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (#25) and the Purple color challenge for Paper Popsicles. The image is actually a spray painted butterfly sticker created by an artist who calls herself No ID. I think her work is beautiful and, for the most part, girly! Just right for the purple card I created. The paper is Creative Memories. I colored my silver metal accents with my purple copic to match the card. The ribbon is the one and only purple ribbon in my stash!!! Let me know if you like it!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle- Anything But a Card

Happy Halloween everyone! Today my little one will become Hannah Montannah and bring home lots of candy!

This week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle is to create anything but a card. How easy is that! Here's your chance to do something on your to-do list and link it up for a chance to win 3 files of your choice from the CUTTING CAFE. I was so thrilled to learn that CC was our sponsor this week. I just love Regina's stuff! So much fun!

For the challenge this week I created these little gift boxes, using Angie Kennedy's tutorial for blessing boxes as my inspiration. The papers I used are from Pebbles Inc. and the Paper Studio. I added ribbon and bling from my stash. The Happy Halloween tags came from the Cutting Cafe. Aren't they just the right touch? My DD took these little boxes to school for her teachers. I hope they enjoyed it. I hope you do too. Check out what the other DT members came up. I hope you are inspired to create something and share with us!!!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Week 12

This week's challenge for Stamp, Scrap & Doodle is a sketch challenge! I just love sketches ~ they are such a great jumping off point. Check out the sketch:

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Michelle of Michelle's Scrapbooking & More. She has just released this adorable Pixie Cottage Line and we DT member were thrilled to play with these great stamps. Here's what I came up with for the sketch.

But, I loved this little girl too much to stop there. Here's another I created using sketch SSS26 from The Sweet Stop. Isn't she just the cutest?

This week you're playing for two free images from Michelle!!! So get creating and get linky! Have a great week!

Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle Week 11

Good Morning! I am so excited this morning because, well, first, it has stopped raining!!! Second, FALL has made an appearance in Alabama! It is nice and cool outside AND the sun is up AND I can see it!!!! With this wonderful weather comes a perfect inspiration photo for you at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle this week. The challenge is to create ANYTHING inspired by this picture:

This week our Guest Designer is also our sponsor!! How exciting is that! Sue McMahon of McMahon Five Designs is joining us this week and she is offering up free digis for the random winner this week! Here's what I came up with using one of Sue's digis.

I used Creative Memories paper and colored the image with Copics. I had silver brads and those just wouldn't work. So, I colored my silver brads with my brown copic marker and got these lovely brass colored brads!

Come on over and play with us at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle this week! We're excited to see what you create! And remember, you don't have to be a card maker! You can create anything your heart desires that is inpired by the photo above! Have fun!

Two In One

This card was created for two different challenges in mind. First, the color fits this weeks monochromatic challenge at the Cuttlebug Spot. I am so into the fall colors right now and what other color says fall like orange! Secondly, I used this week's sketch from MojoMonday (#108). The cardstock is from my stash and the patterned paper is CM. TFL!

And sweet Oliver

Did you get Oliver?!? He was offered as a freebie last Friday on the Paper Popsicles Blog. He is such a cutie! Here's a card I created with this little guy. BTW, Paper Popsicles has a freebie every Friday for the month of October. But, you have to get it on Friday or it will be gone! I am submitting this card for the Monday Madness Show N Tell on the blog.

3X3 Cards and Box

World Card Making Day came and went at my house with no scrappy time. However, through all of the inspiration of my wonderful cyber scrapping sisters I found so many awesome ideas to try! One of those ideas came from Lynda at Paper Popsicles. On the message board she gave us directions to make this cute little box filled with 8 3x3 cards. It is such a cute project and it was really easy to put together. Of course, scrap-copying made it that much easier. It was just too cute not to replicate (especially since I had the same kit)!!!

Hang on! Catch Up Posting in Progress

Okay, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I am so excited that I got some scrapping done this weekend. First, I want to share with you my interpretation of Sketch #40 from 52 Sketches. I just love this photo of my DD and her aunt playing in the clothes. Makes me smile everytime! The paper is all from my stash of CM!

CPS 136

It's late but it is done! I whipped this one out for CPS 136 in the last 30 mins or so. Of course I had colored my Dustin Pike image earlier today (but that doesn't count). I am loving this fall paper kit that I got from the Paper Studio (HL)! TFL!

Paper Popsicles Blog Stomp

Paper Popsicles is having a Creepy, Crawly Blog Stomp today! So much ghoolish fun, not many tricks but a lot of treats! Check it out!

Week 9 - Stamp, Scrap & Doodle

We've cooked up a recipe this week at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle and the DT rocked out some beautiful examples! Here's the recipe:

4x7 card

5 flowers (or other embellishment)

glitter

wet embossing

3 different patterned papers

Here's what I came up with. I recently recieved this ghoolish paper pack from Creative Memories (with a free punch!!!). I cut the background paper to match the dimensions of the card, trying to maintain the tree. Then, I outlined the tree with an embossing pen (ZIG) and used clear embossing powder. The ghosties came from that free punch! First I used holigraphic embossing powder (that's my glitter :o) and covered a small piece of cardstock. Then I punched out these cuties and gave them some eyes with a black pen ~ easy peasy! The image is from Dustin Pike. I colored these little guys with copics, cut them out and stuck 'em on. I used a Studio G stamp for the sentiment (thanks Boni!!). I really love how it turned out! Please let me know what you think!

So, come on, and cook with us! Link us up to your creation by 10pm Friday, Oct. 16th for a chance to win 2 Dustin Pike images of your choice!!!! Remember, you can submit any kind of project ~ a card, a layout, an altered item, anything your heart desires! Go get cooking!

Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle Spooky Challenge - Week 9

It is officially October!!! Like me, many of you have already been creating cute Halloween projects. Well, now you can officially celebrate! 28 days till Halloween!!!

This week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap, & Doodle is anything Halloween. The Design Team did an awesome job with this challenge...lots of variety.

This week I didn't create a card, but rather a decoration! I recieved the latest Oriental Trading (yep, you know the one) with all the newest Halloween and Fall craft projects. I found the cutest project of a Door Hanger Craft Kit. Well, I just knew it would be easy to create this cutie with my stash of scrappy goodies. I used a pumpkin template that I got from Paper Popsicles and I covered 4 of them with paper from Pebbles, Inc. (thanks to Cheryl at Stamp-By-Step). I hand drew the leaves and gave them a little texture with my cuttlebug. I used chipboard letters covered with the same Pebbles, Inc. collection backed with purple cardstock. I added a jack-o-lantern, a bat, some ribbon and wha-la! I am so pleased with how it turned out. It is now hanging on the wall in my family room....a cute addition to my Halloween decorations!

I just love sketch challenges, and this weeks sketch is awesome. The DT has done an amazing job with this sketch, you gotta come see and leave these ladies some lovin!

Here's what I came up with. I used some scraps I had in my stash (love using up those scraps) from the Paper Studio. These colors just make me so happy. The layered flower was created using my cuttlebug and a little button.

So come on over and show us what you got! There are some cute little buns up for grabs as the prize this week. They are just adorable! You have until Friday, Oct. 2nd at 10pm to link up to your creation to be in for the prize. Hope you'll join us!

Can you believe that I am actually posting my third card for sketchfest? Must have gotten a bug or something.....can't believe I'm keepin up! Of course, all the other projects on my to-do list are getting further and further behind. Oh, well, I just can't resist these awesome sketches featured on Caardvarks Sketchfest!

For this card, I wanted to go a little more masculine. I used my September kit from Paper Popsicles (Talkin Smack) to put this baby together. The only thing not in the kit was my orange ribbon! Thanks for looking!

Sweet Girl

I just love these sweet pics of my girl taken a few years ago. Her home day care provider always took pics of the kids and she took beautiful photos. These were taken in 2006. DD still had those baby sweet cheeks and chubby fingers! Oh, I miss those! I used a sketch created by Lynda on the Paper Popsicles Message Board. The best things about this sketch is that I didn't have to resize or crop my photos....just used the regular 4 X 6 size! So easy. I used MME paper (also from my dear friend Lynda, thanks girl) for my background and my embellies. I added a few flowers, a little bling, a couple of buttons, and a tag. I think this LO does justice with these sweet pics. TFL!!

Black, White & Pink

My favorite color combo of all time!!!! I finally got a chance to sit down with a tutorial from the Paper Popsicles Message Board to create a drawer box to hold my cards. Along with that I created a box to hold my paper kits. I used the same priority mail box that they came in....just cut off the top and an angle, covered it with black and white and tied a ribbon around it and WA LA! I created the tin a while back. I love how these turned out! TFL!

Fall is in the air!

Well, it's not quite feeling like fall around here just yet. We get a touch of it in the evenings but it's still pretty hot during the day. The Spider Lillies are coming up so I take that as a good sign.

I'm still trying to catch up with my fave challenges....I'm about a week behind! Here is a card I created using LAST week's card sketch from Mojo Monday. The papers and the leaf sticker is from Paper Studios. The digi-stamp is from M&M Designz at Digital-Inc. Co. I colored the image with copics. The sentiment sticker is from Creative Memories. Thanks for looking!

Better Late than Never

Better late than never I always say. This LO is based on LAST week's sketch at Let's Scrap. I worked on this booger for a week!!! It was the ribbon pleating around the circle that gave me so much fits.....BUT I've got it down now!! Then, on top of that, I couldn't get a good pic....rainy and overcast here the last couple of day. Anyway, the paper is Karen Foster Designs and stickers are from M&MBI. Thanks for looking!

What do you want to be when you grow up? Week 5 at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle!

So, what do you want to be when you grow up?! This week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle requires the help of a little one or the connection with your inner child. Have your little one help you create a card about what they want to be when they grow up OR create a card about what you wanted to be when you grew up (whether it ended up happening or not!!!).

I got Trinity to help me out this week. Just like her Mommy, she wants to be a teacher when she grows up!!! She thinks it would be so cool to have her own classroom and be able "to tell all the kids what to do"!!! We found this image on google images and thought it was just perfect. She did her magic with color pencils (see the make-up!!!). Please let her know if you like her creation! And don't forget to get your little people to create with you this week!

Three in One

I created this LO to fulfill the requirements of not one, not two, but three LO challenges! I know, I know, I'm good! LOL! First, the sketch is #34 from 52 Sketches. Second, the LO is about my scrappy place and I stamped on the paper covered chipboard scalloped circle for this weeks challenge at Stamp and Scrap. Third, I used only chipboard (and just a touch of bling) for the How Creative Can You Be challenge at Paper Popsicles. Whew! I really like the way it turned out even if my sewing machine did give me fits!!!! Thanks for looking!
