Happy Tuesday everyone! I am having so much fun creating Christmas cards to send to my friends and family this year. I wanted to do it last year, but...I ran out of time. This year I am definitely going to make it!!!
Here's a quick little card I put together using my Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder. I colored the birds and berries with a red copic marker and then added Glossy Accents to make 'em shine. Then I used chalk to highlight the swirls in green. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp that I heat embossed. Pretty simple but I think it looks great!
This card is being entered in this week's challenges at the cuttlebug spot. The challenge is to create a holiday card using your favorite embossing technique.
I am also entering this card into this week's challenge at the Play Date Cafe. Here's this week's inspiration.

Christmas Blessings - SSDS
Happy Saturday everyone! Have you gotten all of your Christmas decorations up? I haven't even begun! My daughter is giving me a hard time about not having them up so I think we will definitely get started today!
It's time for another challenge from Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle. We have a fabulous sponsor this week... Wil freda Designs. She has some super cute images in rubber and digital. She is offering the winner of this week's challenge 2 images of their choice!!!
This week we want you to scraplift one of the DT members (you can find them listed in my sidebar). It was so difficult to go to everyone's blog and try to choose just ONE project. Each and every DT member is so talented and inspiring. I finally decided to scraplift Regina when I saw this super CAS card. I really love CAS cards.
Here's Regina's card.
And here's what I came up with. I changed the theme to Christmas (being it's December and all). Super easy and I really like the way it turned out. The sentiment is a Title Sticker from Creative Memories. The ribbon is American Crafts.
We hope you'll join us this week at SSDS! Thanks for stopping by!

And the month before Christmas....
Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of time for family, food, and shopping. I did not participate in Black Friday shopping...I personally think it's totally nuts! But, for those of you that did participate and scored that awesome deal....YAY!
I've really enjoyed creating different Fall/Thanksgiving projects this year. I was able to catch up on some layouts and created some cute cards too! Today I wanted to share the last two projects that I made. First is a layout that I created using Creative Scrappers Sketch #131. I've been waiting to scrap these gorgeous photos of my DS that a friend took a few years ago (2007). I thought this sketch was great to show off my two fave shots. All supplies are Creative Memories.
And finally here is a little mini that I created out of one sheet of patterned paper. I thought this was an awesome idea that I got from crafty blogger Christie! There are 8 pockets inside with tags that list a family members name and why I am thankful for them. Again, all supplies, except for the cool fibers are Creative Memories.
If you want to see more of my creations using these awesome CM papers, check out my CM blog.

Moxie Fab?
Happy Saturday everyone! We are gearing up for a sleep over party for my just turned 8 groovy girl! It's going to be filled with giggles and fun!
Have you experience Moxie Fab World? If you have not, you simply must! I just love visiting the Moxie Fab World blog. Cath always provides such "moxie fab" inspiration....from everywhere! This week, inspiration came from Kate's Paperie. I was immediately drawn to the Moroccan Flare Holiday Ornament.
The colors are just beautiful. Here's where the inspiration led..
The patterned paper is BG Marrakech. I thought it was just the right pattern. The card stock is CM. I embossed the top of the ornaments and the "Joy" with red glitter embossing powder. I just love the way this card turned out. Thanks Cath (and Kate) for the inspiration!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday
Happy Saturday everyone! Saturdays are so my favorite day of the week ~ no required activities other than those we choose!!!
This week at Stamp,Scrap, and Doodle we are feeling the fall season! We want to see your fall creations! Our sponsor this week is Inktegrity, a company with cute images and a great little challenge blog! The DT created some cute, cute fall cards! Be sure and check them out HERE!
For my card, I took a little inspiration (X2) from the Creative Memories Project Center. I just love that place! First, I used the idea of the punch art turkey....isn't he cute?!?! The card base was inspired by a card that is also showcased on the Project Center. I love the way it turned out and I know that I am gonna be making more of these cute little turkeys!! I'm sure that I will get better at feather arrangement as I make more!!!
We would love to see what you are creating for the fall season! Maybe it's a card, a layout, a home decor item....whatever it is .... link it up! We would love to come visit your blog!
Other Challenges:
Bunny Zoe Crafts - Autumn Love
Glitterbabes - Thanksgiving
P.S. Early this week I announced that I will be hosting a new challenge on my CM blog. I'm still hoping that a few friends will help me out and spread the news. I've got a little candy to offer for helping. Check it out HERE.

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday!
Happy Saturday everyone! Are you getting geared up to take the kiddos out for Trick-or-Treat? When is your community Trick-or-Treating? Tonight or tomorrow night? Here in my community, it will probably end up being either night since no community wide decision was made. I say the more candy, the sweeter! I think we have decided to head out tonight!
This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle, the challenge is buttons! We want to see what you create with more than one button. Our wonderful sponsor this week is Doodles by Hope Jacare. She has the most amazing images! They are so much fun to color. Be sure to pop over to her store to see all that she has to offer. Be sure to check out her blog too.
Hope gave the SSDS Design Team some images to play with. I used the Sam Scarecrow image. Isn't it cute? I just love the birds on his hat! I used this weeks sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #77. The patterned paper is CM and I colored Sam with copic markers.
We would love to have you join us this week at SSDS. So get creating with those buttons.
Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Saturday everyone! This weekend is Homecoming here at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and it's also the weekend of the annual Kentuck Festival of the Arts! Needless to say, we are very busy this weekend! Fun, fun!!!

I decided to create a Halloween card. I love this time of year and the fun Halloween colors! I used an old paper pack from Hobby Lobby to create this card and a couple of stickers from Sticko. I cut the corner flourish using my Slice and heat embossed it. All in all, it's not my favorite but it turned out pretty cute!
We'd love to see your take on this sketch...so join us this week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday!

October 9 - Stamp, Scrap & Doodle
Happy Saturday! After a week of wonderfully cooler weather here in Alabama, the weather gods have decided that we need to feel the heat of summer one more time. We are supposed to have highs in the low 90's today. While this is much better than the oppressive 100 degree high humidity days of August....I am ready for fall to stay with us for a little while!! Anyway....
This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle the challenge is a Fall or Halloween. Things are getting spooky around my house so I went with Halloween. Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles. If you haven't seen these cute images check them out! The winner of this week's challenge will get 4 images of her choice! Awesome!
I decided to paper piece my image! This is a challenge for me....I lack a steady hand when cutting with a craft knife! I'm pretty please with how it turned out! All the patterned paper is Recollections Ravenhead Manor collection.
I know you are creating fall/Halloween themed projects right now, so enter them in this week's challenge! We'd love to see what you create!
Additional Challenges:
Charisma Cardz - Fall Colors
Meljen's - Halloween
The Treehouse - Spooky Colors
Simon Says - Halloween
Fussy and Fancy - Halloween
Scrapbook Sisters - Full Moon (Thanks Julie)

Happy Friday everyone! I've been home sick the last two days thanks to an icky cough and head cold. I am finally feeling a tad bit better and decided to get a little crafty this evening. Meljen's challenge this week is for Operation Write Home. Meljen's Designs - Monochromatic

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday Challenge and DT CALL
Happy Saturday! First, we are excited to announce our DT CALL at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle. Please check out the details HERE. We hope you give it a try!!!
This week's challenge is a Thank You project. Our fearless leader, Regina, is offering up this great prize for the winner!
I created my card with inspiration from one of Angie Kennedy's wonderful videos on You Tube! She is awesome and I get so inspired by videos! All I used was a little cardstock from my stash, a rub-on from Kaiser, a piece of ribbon, and bling from Glitz! I cut the scallop circle using my Slice and then punched the circle out of the middle. I used the rub-on on that circle and popped it up using dimensionals on the inside of the card. Super easy! I embossed the background cardstock with my cuttlebug. Simple and clean! I really like it!
So, come on over and join us at SSDS! We can't wait to see what you create!

Twisted Sketch #065 and a Secret?
I've got a secret and I'm not going to tell.....yet!!! This layout is the beginning of my secret!!! I used Sketch #065 from Twisted Sketches. The twist was to use metal anyway, anyhow. I added a little metal word (faith) and I think that the brads should count too!!! The paper is Creative Memories and the letters are Thickers (of course!). I used a lot of chalk to add color to all the white. The little tag coming out of the top of the picture is hidden journaling. I would add it here but then I would be giving my secret away and well, you are just going to have to wait. I can tell you that there will be some blog candy involved and other exciting news! Please stay tuned. In the mean time check out my layout for Twisted Sketches!
P.S. I still don't have my beloved Photoshop so please forgive the quality of the photo! It makes me sad! :(

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday
Happy Saturday everyone!!! We are getting ready for some college football here in Tuscaloosa, AL!! Our National Champs take the field at 6pm tonight. Needless to say our city will be full of crimson and white and all things BAMA! If you didn't see the card I created for the event, please scroll down to the previous post and let me know what you think.
On to this week's challenge at SSDS! This week, as the air gets a little cooler (even down here in BAMA) we are getting ready for the Christmas season a little early. I love Christmas challenges because they force me to get ahead on my Christmas crafting. If you're like me, you need to get ahead as much as possible!!! We want to see anything Christmas this week. We have a great sponsor, Wags n' Whiskers!!! Be sure to check out the Wags n' Whiskers store to see all the images. The winner will receive 4 digis of their choices.
For my card I used this beautiful poinsettia image from Beccy Muir! I colored two images using my copics and cut pieces of one and added them with dimensionals to add depth. Between the shading and the pop up feel of the flower, it is one of my favorite flowers that I've created. The patterned paper is a mystery since it came out of my scraps file (don't you love using up scraps). The rest is cardstock and ribbon. Easy peasy!
So, get the Christmas spirit and get creative. We'd love to see what you create at SSDS.
P.S. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

Catching Up - Part 1
Having computer issues is so terribly frustrating!!! However, I am managing to make it work....inconvenient as it may be. Oh, the things we do for that which we love (in this case, scrappin'!!!)
So, in order to get caught up (for today anyway), I am making three posts tonight. If you are able to view all of them thank you for doing so!! It is much appreciated.
Better late than never!!! This week's challenge at Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturday is to create a "Get Well" or "Good Luck" project. This week we have Digi Doodle Shop as our wonderful sponsor. Be sure to stop by Digi Doodle to see all of their fabulous images. The winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to Digi Doodle Shop! They also offered all of the design team images to play with so we want to send a BIG Thank You to them!!!
I decided to create a Get Well Soon cards with this adorable blueberries image from Digi Doodle Shop. I really enjoyed trying out some shading techniques with my Copics...even if it didn't turn out perfect! I used blue and white cardstock for this card. I embossed the white cardstock with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder (my fave!). I added the ribbon and used a Kaiser rub on for the sentiment. I love the way it turned out!
You have until Friday at midnight to get your "Get Well" or "Good Luck" project in. Don't forget that Digi Doodle Shop is giving away $10 to the random winner!!!

Meljen's Challenge #21 - Brown, Teal and Orange
Happy Thursday everyone! I am sooo frustrated with my computer issues!!! A couple of weeks ago my desktop decided to die. Thankfully, I had been a good girl and backed up all of my pictures and scrappy goods onto the external hard drive regularly. But, we are unable to get it fixed for a while so I am using our trusty standby....the laptop. The laptop is great....I can still get online... I just can't upload photos, scan photos, print photos, or anything else except look at photos. I have to take my camera to my mother's and upload the photos! No fun....well, at least she only lives across the street!!LOL!
Okay, so sorry to vent! On to my card ~ I finished this card several days ago. When I saw the challenge come up at Meljen's, I had just the perfect Pebbles, Inc. paper in mind! I was so excited to get this paper out...I haven't used it since last year! I printed (at my mom's house) this cute cup fellow (also Meljen's) and colored him with Copics. I used this week's SFYTT sketch! I added a couple of flowers, rhinestones and a rub on from Kaiser. I think it turned out really cute. Thanks for looking!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday
Happy Saturday everyone! Getting used to being back at school has really affected my scrappy time, but I hope to change that this weekend! I plan on getting at least a couple of scrappy things done! The first on the list is this weeks card for SSDS. The challenge this week is to use Kraft. I really haven't created that much with kraft so this was a fun challenge for me!!
I started by printing this beautiful bride digi from Sassy Studio Designs (Our awesome sponsor this week!) I colored her with copics and cut her out with my CM cutting system. I inked the edges with brown ink then with chalk. For my paper I used kraft and light green cardstock with a velum overlay. I used my most fave border punch and stuck it all together. The sentiment is Studio G. The picture is terrible, I know. I'm dealing with computer issues and having to use my laptop which doesn't have my fab photoshop!
This week we have the fabulous Sassy Studio Designs as our sponsor. I love the Sassy images. Be sure to stop by the Sassy Studio to see all the fun images they have. The winner will get 4 digis of their choice from Sassy Studio Designs.
Don't forget to stop by and see what the other DT members created! We'd love to see what you can do with kraft!!!
